Transports Children by driving a passenger van to and from school, maintaining a safe vehicle; instructing riders in safety procedures; responding to emergencies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Implements emergency plans by notifying police and/or ambulance service; administering first-aid; initiating evacuation plan; comforting children; filing accident reports.
• May be asked to provides special event transportation by driving students, teachers, and parents as needed
• Improves driving job knowledge by attending training sessions; reading technical publications and safety journals
• Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred. Experience with driving passenger size van preferred
Valid NC Driver’s License required. CDL driver preferred but not required.
