Join our Team as a Contract Psychologist!

Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children and adolescents? We are currently seeking a dedicated Psychologist to join our team at Alexander Youth Network in Charlotte, NC. As a Psychologist, you will provide valuable clinical psychology services, collaborating with our treatment review team and psychiatrists in diagnosis and treatment planning for our young clients.

Responsibilities:

• Interpret clinical information and evaluation results to pertinent team members and caregivers.
• Complete psychological evaluations within 45 days, or in accordance with MCO contract when applicable.
• Demonstrate understanding of systems theory, cultural diversity, self-determination, and self-awareness issues in interactions with internal and external customers.
• Provide regular and consistent therapy to clients and families.
• Ensure service plans reflect thorough discharge planning from admission through discharge.
• Perform restrictive intervention orders, if within the psychologist's scope of practice.
• Adhere to restraint/seclusion policies for response and documentation during on-call duties.
• Oversee individualized and current service planning, addressing applicable problems.
• Ensure completion of relevant paperwork, including discharge notes and progress notes, in a timely manner.
• Apply knowledge of child growth and development, child psychopathology, and evidence-based practices.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or doctorate in psychology.
• NC licensure as a practicing psychologist or psychological associate.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.

Language Skills:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general medical periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

Strong written and verbal communication skills to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals, as well as effectively present information to groups of managers, clients, families, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Capability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and handle a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Proficiency in interpreting a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

CPR/First Aid, Medical Administration, Handle with Care Intervention, Beginning I, Beginning II, Intermediate, Advanced, and all other center-provided training.
