What You'll Do

As a Part-Time Legal File Clerk at Alexander Shunnarah Trial Attorneys, your role is essential to the smooth operation of our legal processes. You will be responsible for managing legal documents, both physical and electronic, and traveling to courthouses and post offices.

Key Responsibilities

• File Management: Organize, categorize, and maintain legal documents, records, and case files efficiently.

• Court Filings: Visit local courthouses to file and retrieve legal documents, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

• Post Office Visits: Travel to post offices to send and receive legal mail, packages, and documents. Maintain a detailed log of correspondence.

• Record Keeping: Create and maintain accurate, up-to-date records of legal documents, including tracking deadlines.

• Data Entry: Enter data into our case management system accurately to keep records accessible to legal staff.

• Support Legal Team: Assist legal professionals by retrieving and organizing documents, facilitating their work on cases.

What You Need

• Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Willingness to travel to courthouses and post offices.
• Basic computer skills; familiarity with document management systems is a plus (training provided if necessary).
• Previous legal office experience is advantageous but not required.
