Description

Headquartered in Seattle, WA, we now service Fire Alarms and Sprinklers, Fire Extinguishers, Kitchen Fire Suppression Systems, Industrial & Vehicle Suppression Systems, Marine Fire Suppression Systems, SCBAs and other fire equipment, and Engineered Systems throughout Washington, Oregon, Alaska, and Hawaii.

We are looking for an experienced Fire Alarm Technician to join our team in Oahu, HI. The ideal candidate has 2 years’ experience in the fire protection industry and familiarity with Ansul, Kidde, and/or Fike systems.

This is a full-time non-exempt position reporting to work Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM with occasional overtime and travel. 

Hourly range: $30-40 per hour depending on industry experience. A $1,000 signing bonus will be paid upon 90 days consecutive employment. 

Essential Job Functions:

· Responsible for the inspection and service of various fire alarm systems and suppression systems in commercial, industrial, and marine businesses;

· Working with General Manager, Account Managers, and dispatcher to fulfill jobs as scheduled;

· Assisting with training new hires and current employees on fire alarm systems and fire suppression systems as needed;

· Complete timely reports via ServiceTrade, Building Reports, and corresponding AHJ;

· Complete Activity Hazard Analysis (AHA) for jobsites which require them; 

· Communicate with customers in a professional manner reflective of company values;

· Drive company vehicle to and from jobsites and adhere to company Fleet Safety protocols;

· Maintain a clean and safe work environment;

· Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

· SFC Fire Alarms Systems license required;

· Technical experience with Ansul, Kidde, and/or Fike systems;

· Project management experience a plus;

· Ability to follow directions and work with others in a collaborative environment to help the branch and team succeed in sales and service goals;

· Valid driver’s license;

· Excellent communication and customer service skills;

· Must have a phone with a data plan and ability to download mobile applications (monthly phone reimbursement provided). 

Physical Requirements:

· Mechanical aptitude and basic hand tool knowledge;

· Regular climbing of ladders and stairs;

· Regular lifting of 50 pounds;

· Occasional presence in confined spaces; 

· Occasional or regular sitting, standing, kneeling, bending, stretching, lifting, and walking;

· Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.
