POSITION SUMMARYThe Senior Network and Infrastructure Administrator position is an individual contributor role reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer (“CTO”) of Alexander & Baldwin (“A&B”). The candidate will be responsible for maintenance of and improvements to the company’s existing network and server infrastructure (including cloud systems and on-premises hardware), as well maintaining cybersecurity, troubleshooting issues, and functioning as the principal technology staff member in disaster recovery or emergency incident scenarios. The candidate will be responsible for working collaboratively with A&B’s CTO and third-party consultants and vendors to design and implement a simplified future state for the network and infrastructure systems that better supports A&B’s hybrid workforce.Salary range: $140,000 - $160,000The actual base pay offered to a candidate will depend on factors including but not limited to qualifications, skills, education, and experience. In addition, A&B provides a variety of other employee benefits and rewards for eligible jobs, including short and long term incentives.SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES• Oversee and maintain all aspects of the current network and back-end infrastructure systems, which includes both on-premises and Azure-based systems.• Serve as primary maintainer and configuration expert of all on-premises Layer 1-3 hardware devices.• Work with the CTO and A&B’s other external consultants to design and implement a new architecture for the network, security, and identity services, potentially moving from a traditional Cisco-based system to a more software defined concept.• Serve as technical lead on concurrent critical projects of varying sizes.• Document all systems and processes with detailed diagrams and work procedures; cross-train other technology department members on critical procedures.• Execute all projects with a thorough understanding and analysis of the CTO’s requirements, the company’s technical needs and budgetary constraints, as well as audit and security mandates.• Evaluate and recommend technology choices.• Create and track schedules and budgets.• Troubleshoot and solve technical issues and user requests.REQUIREMENTS• 5-7 years of experience in network design, implementation and administration.• Cisco CCNP certification or equivalent demonstrated knowledge.• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or related field, or equivalent knowledge and experience.• Deep knowledge of configuring, monitoring and troubleshooting Cisco firewalls, routers and switches.• Experience with or ability to quickly ramp up on 802.1x.• Expert knowledge of NPS.• Experience with mesh Wi-Fi systems, such as those from Arista.• Expert knowledge of Active Directory and Microsoft-based servers and tools, including Azure-based systems and services.• Experience with integrating on-premises and cloud networks (Azure).• Knowledge of virtualized infrastructures using VMWare.• Deep experience with security hardening of networks and servers, risk identification techniques and containing attacks or breaches.• Experience in and facility with cleanly wiring routers, switches, and all other server room equipment.• Demonstrated expert communication skills: verbal, written and graphical.• Availability to work four days on-site in our downtown office, but with allowances for greater flexibility depending on timing and current company needs.• Ability to travel to neighboring islands for day or overnight trips when needed (infrequent).• Ability to perform emergency work on-site during off-hours in the event of a critical incident (infrequent).
