Alessi Bakeries has been serving Tampa since 1912 and we are happy to announce that we are seeking to employ a full time warehouse associate at our manufacturing plant.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned)

• MUST BE WILLING/ABLE TO OPERATE FORKLIFT. (training offered)
• Ensure items are pulled correctly prior to shipping.
• Load and unload product off truck.
• Pull and/or store inventory in freezers/coolers and warehouse.
• Responsible for finished good cycle counts and organized storage.
• Ensure shipments that require a certain shelf life are within acceptable date range.
• Assist the Packing Department in maintaining appropriate levels of packing material to avoid product shortages.
• Count product received and verifying against packaging slip.
• Inspect product when received to identify any damage and/or not below temp when necessary.
• Label items on pallets including temperature required when necessary.
• Verify all inbound and outbound shipments are accurate.
• Adhere to all safety requirements.
• Adhere to and enforce regulatory and compliance requirements.

Supervisory Responsibility: None

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma.
• Basic Math Skills.
• Detailed oriented.
• Ability to understand and follow safety procedures.
• Knowledge of safety and OSHA regulations.
• MUST be able to operate a forklift.
• MUST be able to read and write English.
• MUST be able to work scheduled hours.

Language: Bilingual preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work in a manufacturing plant environment (INCLUDING freezers).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
