Here's what you'd do:

  • This is a contractor position within the client's Global Program Management Organization.
  • The client creates products, platforms, and innovations for the client by driving the strategic development and use of technology and building scalable systems and products to empower our businesses and engage consumers.
  • With global scale, local presence, and deep technological excellence, the client helps the client optimize technology, platforms, and resources while bringing creative ideas to life and creating industry-shaping approaches.
  • The Scrum Lead / Project Manager will be integral to the Business Operations Global Program Management team.
  • They will work with Product and various Engineering teams to facilitate and support agile ceremonies and coach scrum teams on agile best practices and principles to enable the delivery of high-value product increments to our users.
  • As Scrum Lead, you'll work with matrix teams of internal and external resources to lead all scrum events: daily scrum, sprint planning, sprint review, retrospective, backlog refinements, and demos.
  • The role will be leading 1-2 scrum teams.
  • Provide support to scrum teams using a servant-leadership style, facilitate discussions and decision-making in meetings, and resolve team impediments at multiple organizational levels.
  • Guides teams to a high-performing level by recognizing areas of strength and improvement and employing appropriate coaching and development techniques.
  • Adept at refinement, retrospection, estimation, capacity, velocity, and other scrum techniques.
  • Coaches the scrum team in self-organization and cross-functional skillset and communicates effectively, internally and externally, within the scrum team.
  • Maintain and report on metrics that provide visibility on program progress and know how to leverage those metrics to identify program needs and insights. (burndown charts).
  • Communicate delivery times and scope to other software engineering teams that depend on timely delivery.
  • Collaborates closely with partners across the organization, including product, solution architects, and delivery teams.
  • Hold functional managers accountable for their teams' deliverables.
  • Escalates to program leadership or functional managers as appropriate to drive results.
  • Proactively identifies, tracks, and manages issues and risks, working with the team to resolve them and following up on their resolution.
  • Manage projects that impact the scrum team, including developing project plans and timelines for projects and project deliverables.
  • Partner closely with program management to actively contribute to project planning and overall program strategy, including identifying resource needs and forecasting.
  • Monitors and evaluates project health and status, communicating schedule, team, and project status while partnering closely with Program Managers on program reviews for executive stakeholders.
  • Builds good relationships with and partners with diverse teams and stakeholders across the organization.
  • Planned and solved problems with product management and delivery teams.
  • Willing to learn and take on additional responsibilities as appropriate.
  • Managing, tracking, and reporting test cycles & outcomes; helping to ensure deadlines are met while providing project support on the end-to-end SAP engagement across multiple organizations in a cross-matrix organization.

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in STEM.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Digital Technical Project or Program Management and software application development.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience as a Scrum Lead for cross-functional agile teams.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience with an agile framework or method (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Minimum of 5 years experience using Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, and Airtable.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience supporting, managing, and delivering medium to large projects.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • SAP, S/4 HANA upgrade experience.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle and project management principles and practices.
  • Successful candidates must be highly proactive, detail-oriented, and able to autonomously work on concurrent implementations across matrixed teams inside and outside the client's department.
  • They must be able to communicate schedules, risks, issues, and processes to various business, creative, and technical audiences.
  • They must be able to partner with other project managers and technical leads outside their area to coordinate work, deliverables, and schedules.
  • Good collaboration skills and ability to establish and manage effective working relationships in a matrixed organizational structure.

  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
