Location: Gerald Family Care
Position: Medical Assistant
As a certified or registered medical assistant, you will be responsible for providing clinical and administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the medical office. You will support providers, physician assistants and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management and communication. CMA or RMA with experience working with both patient population pediatric and adults.
Duties and responsibilities consist of: triage/vitals (temps, height, weight, BP and coding), assist with procedures (EKG, Spirometry, etc.), Pediatric protocols, maintain work areas, exam rooms, supplies, medication reconciliation, immunization documentation, stocking exam rooms (pap tray setup, drapes, gowns, etc.), and knowledgeable of medical terminology, CPT and ICD-10 coding.
Computer knowledge and experience with EMR systems is required. Experience with E-Clinical works is a plus.
The target is to complete all activities accurately with high quality and in a timely manner. Must be able to rotate between offices, work one evening during the week and one Saturday a month.
Looking for a team player with a great attitude, wants to learn and grow within the organization. Certified or registered medical assistants with at least 2 years of experience working in a medical practice, are eligible to apply. We have offices in DC and Prince Georges County.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour
