The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting the doctors by completing administrative tasks, verifying insurance information from patients and communicating with patients from all walks of life. The perfect Medical Assistant will have a background in primary care and possess the ability to communicate clearly with patients and staff, effectively organize information and prioritize tasks in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

• Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, completing prior authorizations, updating electronic medical record, etc.
• Take and record vital signs, including, but not limited to, blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
• Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient information accurately
• Assist provider with patient examinations and procedures
• Administer medications/immunizations as directed by provider
• Draw blood and collect specimens for testing
• Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies
• Assist with patient education by providing information on medications, procedures, and general health maintenance
• Communicate with patients, co-workers, and others in a courteous and helpful manner.
