Aldridge Pite LLP is Hiring a Litigation Associate Near Alabama, AL

Job Description The Litigation Attorney in our Alabama Office is responsible for handling litigation matters for the Firm. They will utilize legal knowledge and experience as necessary to facilitate the litigation process on behalf of our clients. The litigation candidate will report to our Supervising Partner, AL and our Supervising Partner, GA Litigation on their respective matters. Attend mediations, trials, and hearings, and other duties as assignedPerform legal research and writingTake and defend depositionsDraft pleadings, briefs, affidavits, discovery, proposed orders, correspondence, memoranda, and opinion lettersTravel on an as needed basisWrite articles and make presentations to clients, trade associations, and ICLEParticipate in marketing initiatives Required Skills, Education and ExperienceBachelor’s Degree with a Juris Doctorate from an accredited law schoolMember of the Alabama and Georgia Bar, while maintaining all necessary licensing and continuing legal education requirementsLitigation experience in GA preferred, but not requiredAt least five years litigation experience, foreclosure experience a plusTitle experience is preferredMust be well-versed in the rules of evidence, introducing evidence, and civil procedure in both state and federal courtMust be able to work well with all members of the groupMust possess strong written and verbal communication skillsProficiency with Word, Excel and other Microsoft Office productsProficiency with Fastcase or WestlawAbility to manage and prioritize multiple projects and casesMust possess strong organizational skillsAbility to identify and resolve problems quickly General Competency Factors Must be proficient in software tools, including but not limited to Word, Excel, Outlook, and the Internet.Must possess strong written and verbal communications skills.Must provide excellent customer service to internal and external customersIdentifies and solves issues in a timely manner.Must be a team player and willing to help others in their department whenever necessary.Must be extremely organized and be able to multi-task.Conscientious with respect to work completion, deadlines, time management and attendance.Takes initiative in face of obstacles and identifies what needs to be done and takes action.Demonstrates commitment to Firm’s vision, mission, and core values.Analytical and detail oriented, while working at a fast pace and capable of multi-tasking.Develops professional relationships and builds rapport with others.Overall good work ethic and willingness to adapt to change.
