Position Title: Emergency Management Coordinator
Reports to: Program Management Analyst
Location: Alpena, MI
Employment Status: Full-Time

Work Schedule 0745-1630, Monday through Friday

FLSA Status: Exempt 

Position Summary: Aldevra is currently seeking qualified personnel to provide Civil Engineer Emergency Management Program Coordination and Training Support services for the Air National Guard in Alpena, MI.

This position is contingent upon contract award.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Provide asset management for the Office of Emergency Management.
  • Maintain system of record asset database.
  • Track Readiness Training for Emergency Management Personnel.
  • Schedule training classes. 
  • Oversee Readiness Training Database management ensuring accurate and complete information.
  • Prepare training metric reports for each training course.
  • Assist in the development of Readiness Training Courses.
  • Develop and implement Automated Readiness Information System (ARIS) into Emergency Management.
  • Provide Emergency Management Support Plans for site in support of parent (host) Installation/Wing Emergency Management plans.
  • Shall attend required training and monthly meetings.
  • Create and update Lesson Plans for each system.
  • Maintain All Hazards Response Trailer and Equipment when on site.
  • Perform monthly inspections on all associated equipment.
  • Maintain equipment in operational status (fully mission capable).
  • Provide Restricted Area Escorting for base contractors (trailer repair/ upgrades) as necessary
  • Provide equipment training to required users. 
  • Obtain/maintain driver certification and train students on vehicle operations training (e.g., towing a trailer) IAW local driving instructions.
  • Coordinate support for all Emergency Management Flights performing training or Wings that are in a compliance inspection cycle.
  • Support Wing Inspection Team (WIT) in the execution and evaluation of installation wide exercises relating to EM and CBRN capabilities (to include reviewing findings and providing trend analysis as it pertains to ANG.)
  • Actively participate in unit EM program reviews/wellness visits and Large-Scale Readiness Exercises (LREs) and provide feedback to reduce capability gaps; striving to provide non-materiel and procedural solution sets at every opportunity.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of installation(s) Emergency Management (EM) plans. Types of planning typically include, but are not limited to: Concept of Operations (CONOPS), Memoranda of Agreement or Understanding (MOA or MOU); Mutual Aid Agreements (MAA), and other plans, operating instructions, and checklists.

Requirements

Security Requirements:

  • Shall have been granted or currently have a Secret security clearance from the Defense Industry Security Clearance Office.
  • Must be able to obtain CAC clearance.
  • A National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) is required, and a favorable completion of FBI fingerprint History Check must be completed. 

This position requires passing an extensive background check.

Qualifications:

  • Active Secret security clearance is preferred
  • Degree in relevant field is preferred or equivalent military certification and experience 
  • Experience with assessment management 
  • Experience tracking training completion related to emergency management and training personnel in-person on emergency management preparedness 
  • Experience developing training related to emergency management 
  • Experience maintaining and tracking military equipment 
  • Valid driver's license
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and telephone manner
  • Excellent and accurate written communication
  • Familiarity with Windows operating systems; online calendars and cloud systems; intermediate to advanced skills Microsoft office products required
  • Excellent attention to detail; accurate data entry
  • Customer Focused and team-oriented work ethic
  • Able to multi-task efficiently and accurately, focusing on quality
