Description

Position Title: Draftsman

Reports to: Construction & Facilities Maintenance Manager 

Location: White Hall, AR 

Employment Status: Full-Time

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Position Summary: Aldevra LLC is currently seeking Draftsman to support the Pine Bluff Arsenal (PBA) on-site in White Hall, AR. 

This position is contingent upon contract award.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Attend all Hazard Analysis Working Groups (HAWGs) and Pre-Operational Survey meeting related to assigned projects. 
  • Responsible for generating/drafting, updating and/or modifying technical reports. 
  • Ensure that PBA Production and Standard Distribution Operations have written operating procedures that provide clear instructions for safely conducting activities involved in each process consistent with the process safety information.
  • Ensure that SOPs and their accompanying HAs for new products and processes are generated.
  • Ensure that SOPS for current Production and Standard Distribution Operations are maintained and updated each year, including incorporation of review comments and approved Management of Change Requests into the SOPs and their accompanying HA(s).
  • Ensure the following records are maintained in accordance with ET-25-01.
  • a. Archived Manufacturing SOPs and HA(s)
  • b. Management of Change (MOC’s)
  • c. Manufacturing LOI
  • d. Archived Pre-Operational Approved Phase 3 SOP
  • e. Approved Drawings (electronic format)
  • f. Archived Test Plans
  • g. Technical Reports
  • Ensure that all Process Technical Data Packages are current including drawings, including incorporation of approved Management of Change requests into the drawing database and Plant Data Books.
  • Manage the PBA drawing database to ensure that all engineering drawings are properly identified and controlled.
  • Maintain and update a registry of engineering drawings to include the drawing number, title, revision no. and date, no of sheets, and the drawing status. The registry shall include hyperlinks to the .PDF versions of the drawings.
  • Ensure that all engineering drawings not in the current data base are retrieved from their locations and loaded into the drawing database.
  • Ensure that all hard copy drawings are scanned.
  • Receive Engineering drawings from vendors, engineers, etc., assign drawing numbers as required, and place them in the drawing database.
  • Check out drawings from the Engineering database as requested and update drawing revision numbers as necessary when drawing changes are made.
  • Assign blocks of drawing numbers as requested.
  • Provide recommendations on the “Best Practices” for control of drawings and drawing databases.
  • Ensure that all documents or reports produced by contractors are suitably marked as contractor products or that contractor participation is appropriately disclosed.

Requirements

Security Requirements:

  • Must be able to obtain CAC clearance.
  • Shall follow the appropriate OSHA Regulations, Army and Arsenal Regulations, Policy Letters, and Directorate Administrative SOP work instructions when developing, updating and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)/Hazard Analysis (HA) files, drawings, and other pertinent documents as directed by the Process Documentation Coordinator (PDC).

This position requires passing an extensive background check.

Qualifications:

  • Shall possess diploma, certificate, or associate's degree in drafting from a technical school or a community college
  • Must be proficient in AutoCAD™ and SolidWorks™
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Draftsman
  • Valid driver's license
  • Excellent verbal communication skills 
  • Excellent and accurate written communication
  • Proficiency in MS Office, and ability to write in explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiences.
  • Excellent attention to detail; accurate data entry
  • Customer Focused and team-oriented work ethic
  • Able to multi-task efficiently and accurately, focusing on quality
