Description

Pay | $19.00 ~ $26.00/hr ($17.00 - $21.00/hr base tips avg)

Our Promise.Your day-to-day as a Market AttendantAs a Market Attendant, you'll showcase a vibrant selection of products including art, craft beer, wine, seafood, outdoor gear, and clothing using your knowledge of local culture to enhance the customer experience. You'll maintain a positive environment to nurture relationships with customers and artists. You may also assist at Hook & Fork, our casual dining venue, as needed. Key responsibilities include:
  • Provide excellent customer service through assisting with purchases and handling sales.
  • Process end-of-day reports and execute accurate cash drops.
  • Manage inventory by ensuring all items are stocked on the sales floor, coordinating with the Market Manager on low-stock items, and setting up seasonal displays.
  • Collaborate with the Marina and Purchasing managers on inventory, new merchandise, and to ensure accurate stock levels and conditions.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment, adhering to health regulations concerning food products.

Qualifications of the Market Attendant

  • Required | 2 years' retail and/or farmer's market experience
  • Required | Weekend availability plus 2 weekdays, minimum
  • Required | Valid WA Food Worker Card (within 14 days after hire)
  • Required | Valid WA Class 12/13 Alcohol Server Permit (within 60 days after hire)

Physical Demands & Work Environment

  • Physical Demands. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is regularly required to stand for extended periods; walk; sit; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, bend and twist, push and pull, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision. May require sustained visual and mental concentration.
  • Work Environment. Conditions are those of a typical of a retail environment. It is a controlled environment, and the position experiences some variation in temperature based on time of year and status of open/closed garage door access. There will be a minimal level of noise in the work environment. There may also be work in an outdoor environment exposed to sun, wind and heat.
