JOB SUMMARY

• To provide continuity of supevision and operation of facility during the PM shift assuring that facility policies are followed and that quality of care is maintained.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois.
• Minimum of one (1) year nursing experience.
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with residents, family members, visitors, personnel, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
• Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT

• Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
• Must function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity and the ability to work effectively with residents, visitors, personnel, and support agencies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Make facility rounds on each floor and lower level.
• Notify appropriate personnel regarding immediate concerns, communicate all concerns to the Administrator.
• May initiate discipline, to be reviewed by appropriate Department Head/Administrator, after investigating situation.
• Handle walk in visitors requesting a facility tour or visit.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
