The Position
The manager of data analytics reports directly to the operations director. This role supervises a team of data analysts, and works directly with the business development and engineering teams on the interpretation and reporting feedback for customers, and when requested, interacts directly with customers on report findings, works with environmental data scientists and engineering teams to innovate novel solutions and create methods for ensuring the highest data quality and fastest turnaround time from acquisition to report delivery and more as detailed below.
Job Responsibilities
Directly and with a team of analysts, create and complete customerreports in a timely manner.
Work with field operations, business development and engineering on the interpretation and reporting feedback for customers, and when requested by business development, interact directly with customers on detailed debriefings of report findings.
Work directly with business development for customer-driven reporting requirements and develop a process by which enhancements/requests can be reviewed, prioritized, implemented and monetized.
Work with the Engineering Software and Hardware Departments and Business Development on the requirements and specifications of the tasks and deliverables for automated report generation, highlighting the QA/QC steps that will be needed for full automation.
Work with environmental data scientists to prioritize innovativedetection, localization and quantification solutions and create methods for ensuring the highest data quality and fastest turnaround time from acquisition to report delivery.
Ensure timely delivery of reports and consistency with operational schedules to ensure seamless customer experience.
Develop agreed standard reports templates for biogas/biomethane and landfill sectors, and work with product development to automate report QA/QC and generation.
Promote innovation within the analysis team for novel reporting enhancements and ensuring these are suitably prioritized and included as per standard product development methods.
Explore with business development opportunities for enhanced deliverables that can be sold on to the customer as additional features.
Work with the Sustainability Analyst, Business Development and Customers on developing and presenting externally case studies that highlight the benefits of using SeekOps on the Customer path to Net Zero.
Ensure rapid onboarding and productivity for new data analyst team members.
Manage budget and objectives for the data analytics group with roll up to Director of Operations budget and objectives, ensuring consistency with corporate goals and objectives.
Ensure Data Analyst team adherence to biannual Performance Management Processes
Develop career growth plans for each member of the team in coordination with the Director of HR, highlighting appropriate technical and personal development training as necessary.
Develop a swift and comprehensive understanding of SeekOps workflows, spanning from proposal through to report delivery. Focus on mastering the intricacies of data acquisition, localization, and quantification inversion algorithms, as well as their processing, display, and dashboard integration.
Skills & Qualifications
•Master's Degree or higher preferred, ideally in a science or data analysis related topic.
•Strong fundamental mathematics and physics background.
Experience in direct personnel management and the setting and management of team objectives
Excellent communication & interpersonal skills, ability to work with people at all levels, up and down and across organizations, internally and externally.
Experienced Microsoft Office user, including Word, Excel, Teams and PowerPoint, SharePoint, Python, SQL, data visualization tools: ArcGIS, R.
Experience in automated report generation from various data sources preferred.
Detail oriented critical thinker
Basic Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning tools
Basic Financial skills with budget setting experience preferred.
