As a QA Technician II, you will be trusted to use predetermined methods, operations, set-ups and prescribed specifications to visually inspect in-process and complete products such as electronic units and subsystems, precision electromechanical assemblies, mechanical units, subassemblies, structural flaws, internal defects, and missing welds at our ASPEX Manufacturing Facility in Fort Worth, TX.

In this role, a typical day will include:

• Using various measuring devices.
• Accepting, rejecting, and/or reworking of defective or malfunctioning units or systems.
• Review releasing inspection results of components.
• Working from blueprints, diagrams, dial indicators, preset micrometers, scales, fixtures, customer specifications, drawing or inspection instructions and checklists.
• Possibly monitoring and verifying quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
• Performing a variety of tests of raw materials, packaging materials, quantitative assays on samples, and/or finished products from manufacturing, to ensure quality standards and compliance to customer and regulatory requirements, and tolerance specifications for the chemical or physical property.
• Using basic computer skills.
• Performs chemical sampling activities to support production and QC Test schedules.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
• 3 Years of Relevant Experience
• Work hours: 2nd shift; Monday-Friday; 1:30pm-10:00pm
• Travel Requirements: None

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• SAP experience
• LabVantage (LIMS) experience
• Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing experience
• Experience in Quality Inspections
• Developed leadership skills.
