We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper and Therapeutic Riding Instructor to join our non-profit team. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring accuracy in financial transactions. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. As a Therapeutic Riding Instructor your will be responsible for lesson planning, delivery, and record keeping of therapeutic riding instruction to children and adults with physical and developmental disabilities.

Job Overview

Bookkeeping Experience

• Previous experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks Online
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and practices
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

Bookkeeping Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial record
• Process accounts payable and receivable transactions
• Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions
• Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting
• Monitor cash flow and manage petty cash
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies

Riding Instructor Experience

• 5 years riding experience
• 1 year riding instruction experience

Riding Instructor Responsibilities

• Provide safe, effective and engaging therapeutic/adaptive riding lessons to participants
• Safely mount and dismount riders up to 200#, including using a lift/sling
• Document lesson plans and progress notes on a consistent basis
• Assist as needed with facility upkeep: arena set up and tear down, manure removal, equine care, etc.
• Be willing to cross-train in different roles to ensure smooth running of the overall program

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
