Alaskan and Proud Markets is Hiring a Deli Manager Near Ketchikan, AK

Alaskan & Proud Markets is a locally owned and operated Grocery Store headquartered in Ketchikan, Alaska. We are looking for an energetic and innovative person to join our Ketchikan team. Over the past 5 years we have expanded and improved our Deli operations to also provide a large assortment of House Made Products. Our goal is to provide Fresh, Quality Products at reasonable prices. We are looking for someone to help continue to expand and improve on this program. This position is for a Full Time Deli Manager Position.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Proficient in Microsoft programs. Excel, word, and email

Previous management, leadership and commercial kitchen experience

Able to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment

Exceptional Customer Service Skills

Strong work ethic and dependable

Strong verbal and communication skills

Ability to lift 40 lbs. on an occasional basis

Ability to stand/walk for a full 8-hr work shift

Basic full body motions: bending, twisting, squatting, lifting, and reaching

Flexibility with work schedule (including weekends, holidays, and overtime)

Reliable Transportation & ability to arrive to work on time ready to start

Duties and Responsibilities:

Overseeing Deli Operations

Managing & Supervising team

Ordering and monitoring inventory & shrinkage

Invoice & Ledgering

Maintaining and following: Recipes, Pricing Updates, Menus & Merchandising

Cooking & Product Preparation

Misc. job tasks as assigned by store director

Obtain and keep current valid Serve/Safe Food Manager Card

Follow and comply with company policies and procedures

Follow and comply with Health & Safety Policies

Contributing to a Positive Work Atmosphere

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
