Seasonal Professional Chef

Do you love adventure? This position is ideal for a professional Chef with very extensive culinary experience and training, performing at the highest level. This position is for a professional Chef reporting to the Head Chef, and working along side a small kitchen staff for a great culinary experience. This position could transition to our Head Chef position for the right candidate. We would love to find a chef with pastry and catering experience but not a deal breaker. This is a hands-on position for a professionally trained chef with a wide range of recipes, and culinary skills, who can prepare meals from scratch; who takes pride in the creating, plating, and garnishing, and presentation of every dish that leaves the kitchen. for a fine dining experience. This is without a doubt, the most important position at our lodge. This is not a "fake it till you make it" kind of thing. This is a position for a chef with a good attitude, who is highly organized, who has a wide range of culinary skills. A Chef with a strong work ethic, who can interact, supervise and communicate, and get along well with others. The food that you prepare must be high quality, delicious, and presented professionally and beautifully. You must be able to accommodate a wide range of dietary needs, and be able to prepare delicious high quality meals for 20-35 guests, and family style meals for 25 staff. This is a demanding position, so it is important to be in good mental and physical condition, and not a slave to substances. A stable, fun personality, positive leader, team player, organized, clean, and physically able to perform the demanding tasks a chef is required to perform.....are all qualities we look for in a candidate. Alaska's Gold Creek Lodge is a non smoking property. Housing and meals are provided. Our season runs from June 1 - September 30.
