Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium has a hiring preference for qualified Alaska Native and American Indian applicants pursuant to P.L. 93-638 Indian Self Determination Act.

Summary:

Under general direction, provides advanced clerical support for assigned department or division through office organization, records maintenance, reception, scheduling, and general support. Supervises staff of assigned administrative support employees.

Responsibilities: Manages and schedules assigned staff. Develops goals and priorities, and assigns tasks and projects. Develops staff skills and training plans. Counsels, trains and coaches assigned staff. Implements corrective actions and conducts performance evaluations for staff. Provides leadership, direction and guidance to subordinates.
Performs advanced administration and support work requiring detailed field-specific knowledge relevant department assigned. Requests information from and provide information to other departments and outside sources.
Manages special projects as required. Researches scope of project, assigns resources, and monitors progress of assigned staff. Assists department and division managers with process analysis and developing production measures for improved efficiencies. Compiles and analyzes data. Prepares and processes special and recurring reports and administrative records.

Completes, submits and tracks company forms such as travel/expense reports, check requests, company credit cards, purchase requests, and personnel action documents.

Assures departmental alignment with corporate compliance. Functions as department liaison for activities and initiatives with other divisions and departments.
Independently maintains department budget, investigating and documenting variances. Keeps records up to date and reports as required to Finance and own department leaders.
Performs other duties as assigned or required.

MINIMUM EDUCATION QUALIFICATION Associate's degree in Business, Office Administration, or related field from an accredited college or university. Progressively responsible related work experience, education, or training may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for college education. MINIMUM EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION Non-supervisory - Five (5) years of skilled office support experience. Equivalent education, training, or similar experience may be substituted for relevant experience. May require experience specific to the department assigned. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS According to the needs of the organization, some incumbents in this job class may be required to obtain specific technical certifications and programming language skills.
