Alaris Health at Cedar Grove -

Alaris Health at Cedar Grove, a 190 bed-skilled nursing Center in Cedar Grove, New Jersey, seeks an assistant admissions coordinator to work with the director of admissions to maximize the Center’s census, implement an effective admissions process and ensure the highest level possible of resident satisfaction.

Additional responsibilities include :

• following up on all inquiries that have not yet converted to admissions and leading admissions counseling and tours
• alerting department heads regarding appropriate preparation and follow-up for admissions (new and re-admits)
• ensuring that residents’ rooms are clean and prepared appropriately before their arrivals
• meeting with each resident and his / her family or responsible party on the day of admission, warmly welcoming and introducing them to the nursing staff and following up with a visit at the end of the day

JOB REQUIREMENTS :

• Must have skill nursing - subcute experience
• High school degree or equivalent
• Able to work independently
• Possess a positive sales-oriented personality and friendly resident service approach
• Empathetic towards residents and their families / responsible parties
• Adept at dealing with a geriatric population and families in crisis
• Able to positively interact with everyone from residents to the general public
