Job Duties:
  • Demonstrate strong leadership qualities is essential for effectively leading and motivating a team of professionals.
  • Supervise and coordinate operations ensuring the seamless execution of tasks related to utility services.
  • Operate various vehicles, including utility vehicles, facilitate the transportation of materials, equipment, and crew to and from job sites.
  • Ensure adherence to industry standards, company procedures, and customer specifications remaining paramount in all operational activities.
  • Uphold a positive company image achieved through maintaining the professional appearance of the team, vehicles, and work areas.
  • Work closely with team members and stakeholders as necessary to gather accurate and timely data related to operations.
  • Promote and enforce safety protocols ensuring compliance with company policies and safe work practices.
  • Assist in evaluating bid opportunities and contribute to bid responses for projects within the region as part of bid evaluation responsibilities.
  • Take responsibility for project safety, quality, on-time delivery, profitability, and overall customer satisfaction crucial for project accountability.
  • Managing plans, materials, and employee deployments for all projects within the assigned region.
  • Efficiently coordinate time between field projects and office duties to ensure optimal productivity.
  • Maintain positive customer relations through professionalism and clear, respectful communication.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in the utility sector is essential, pole inspection, treatment and reinforcement preferred.
  • Proven success in team supervision and managing a remote workforce.
  • Possession of a current and valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Must be able to pass the pre-employment screening process, and drug test.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to analyze and interpret data and a commitment to producing high-quality work within tight timeframes.
  • Previous experience in team management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), data management, spreadsheets, and financial reporting.
  • Background in planning/scheduling and project management.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business management or an industry-related discipline is preferred.
  • Over 5 years of supervisory experience in the utilities industry or a related field is preferred.
Work Environment:
  • Work location is remote; There is no central office to report to, time is split between working from home and traveling on occasion extensively.
  • This role involves travel across one or more states and working outdoors year-round, enduring various weather conditions and terrains, including hot, cold, wet, windy, or icy conditions for extended periods.
  • Lodging and transportation are provided while traveling.
Pay Scale:
The pay scale for this position ranges from $75,000 to $85,000 depending on experience.
