Alamon is currently hiring an entry-level Safety Coordinator to report to and assist the Safety Supervisor with overseeing the company’s safety programs, processes and policies. The ideal candidate is able to multitask, works well under pressure and is safety minded. The Safety Coordinator role is a remote / hybrid position. Training will take place at our headquarters located in Kalispell, Montana. The salary for this entry-level position ranges from $52k - $65k.

Job Description:
- Institute and create safety programs, policies and procedures as they pertain to new and existing business ventures.
- Understand and develop an energy storage safety procedure.
- Assist in maintaining compliance on all customer related safety sites and concerns.
- Perform incident investigations and institute countermeasures across departments.
- Maintain and update the Learning Management System (LMS) as policies and regulations are updated and ensure updates are in ADA compliance format.
- Research and stay up to date with changing regulations for all 50 states as needed for business purposes.
- Monitor and maintain proper pesticide handling and labeling policies and procedures.
- Assist the Fleet department with safety management, DOT compliance and Hazardous Waste Transportation Regulations.
- Implement warehousing requirements and regulations.
- Monitor and adhere to a safety auditing program.
- Become familiar with office building safety and ergonomics.
- Attend departmental safety meetings and update the Safety Supervisor on all actionable tasks.
- Perform daily spot checks on JSA’s to ensure they are properly filled out.
- Order safety supplies as needed.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Possess a current/valid driver’s license and a clean driving record with no DUI/DWIs within the past 5 years.
- Must pass a criminal background check and a drug test.
- Willing to travel nationally when needed.
- Possess a professional attitude that will positively represent the Alamon organization to employees, clients, and the communities in which we work.
- 2 or more years of experience or education in a safety related field.
Work Environment:
- This role offers the flexibility of remote or hybrid work, with potential work settings spanning open-air cubicles, warehouses, construction sites as well as both indoor and outdoor environments.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 40lbs.
- Be able to perform physically arduous activities including hiking, climbing, and digging when necessary.
- Must not be afraid of heights.
- Be able to work outside when applicable.
- Must be able to ride in a vehicle for extended periods of time to travel to and from job sites.
- Ability to work in different temperatures and through changing weather conditions.
- Must be able to traverse all areas of a jobsite. This may include walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, or stretching.
Travel Requirements:
- This is a remote / hybrid position that requires travel upwards of 25% of the time.
- Lodging and transportation will be provided by the company while traveling and staying overnight for work.
