Position Summary

The Engineering Supervisor is a key position and is accountable for leading and managing engineering team members to sustain and improve the existing product lines.

Essential Functions of the Job

• Planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting the engineering tasks and resources of sustaining engineering activities.
• Supervise an engineering team including resource planning, recruiting, team development, quality control checks, and performance reviews.
• Provide work direction and one-on-one coaching to engineering team members.
• Produce, check, and approve engineering design and documentation including detail and assembly drawings of structural weldments and vacuum, water pressure, and hydraulic systems, including integration with electrical systems.
• Produce, check, and approve engineering analysis including structural analysis, drive system calculations, component selection, and product validation testing.
• Train engineering team members as required.
• Provide expert product knowledge regarding design, features, usage, testing, and safety.
• Participate in developing business goals and product life cycle plans.
• Provide technical engineering advice and counsel to Management, Marketing, Sales, and Operations.
• Provide support to Customer and internal departments for post-sale vehicle operation and maintenance.
• Lead engineering process improvement projects.

• - People development, Goal setting/monitoring/managing, leading change/value stream optimization.
• Key Engineering Strengths - structural analysis, machine design, DFMA, hydraulics, problem solving.
• Must be able to plan, organize, and prioritize work.
• Ability to employ various project management tools and meet deadlines.
• Innovative thinker. Able to visualize and adapt products to solve customer's problems.

• Exhibit a high level of customer focus.
• Ability to perform advanced calculations, verification, and documentation.
• Expertise with CAD and FEA software. Preferably SolidWorks and SolidWorks Simulation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills.
• Hands-on attitude.
• Valid driver's license

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology required.
• Master's in Engineering, Business, or Project Management is preferred.

• 5 Years Experience in an Engineering Leadership role.
• 10 Years Experience in Design and Production Support of heavy equipment.

Working Conditions

• Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull (up to 50lbs) and climb ladders.

• Able to travel locally and nationally up to 10% of the time and as needed.
