Job Summary and Description
Promotes the protection of Alamo College District’s information resources, data and privacy of the college. Regulates access to system data and prevents unauthorized modifications, destruction, or disclosure of information in alignment with Alamo Colleges District security standards. Works with District IT Security to ensure the college is prepared to respond effectively to protect network systems and information.
Reports to the college Director of Information Technology.

Minimum Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or a combination of relevant experience, education and training that equates to the required degree.
• Three years of progressively responsible IT work experience as an analyst, systems administrator or equivalent role with security responsibilities or a combination of relevant experience, education and training that equates to the required experience.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in information sciences, business or a closely related field.

Licenses and Certifications:

• One or more of the following certifications required: A , Network and/or CompTIA Security .
• Prefer CISSP, SSCP, ISSAP, or CISA certification(s).
