Job Summary
The Director, Principal of Alternative Education holds the educational vision for Alameda County Office of Education’s (ACOE) School Programs. We are looking for an educator who possesses an unrelenting belief that all students can achieve; a partner who is fully invested in multi-systems collaborative change; a leader who will make a difference in shaping long-term outcomes.

Under the supervision of the Chief of Schools, the Director, Principal provides instructional and administrative leadership for the ACOE School Programs. The Director, Principal leads educational efforts in alignment with the ACOE Vision and Mission while partnering with multiple agencies and educational partnerships dedicated to building effective educational programs and achieving equitable outcomes for our youth.

Requirements / Qualifications
Starting in the 2024-2025 School Year
Valid Clear California Teaching Credential.
Valid Administrative Credential or a Certificate of Eligibility.
Bachelor Degree (required)
Masters (preferred)
Have a minimum of five years of experience working with adolescents in an alternative school setting or serving vulnerable populations.
Have experience and a commitment to meeting the needs of all students, including students with significant learning gaps and special education needs.
