Alamar Biosciences is Hiring a Sr. Integration & Automation Engineer Near Fremont, CA

We are seeking an outstanding Sr. Automation Engineer/Scientist to join our multi-disciplinary team, which is tasked to develop a world-class fully automated instrument system for high precision proteomic analysis. The position is expected to play an important role in bridging the gap between assay technology and system engineering.
Primary Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate within a cross-functional team to design, develop, optimize, and deploy proprietary assay workflows on various instrument platforms.
  • Design, implementation, and optimization of next generation instruments.
  • Troubleshoot complex systems issues related to software, hardware, consumables, and assay integration.
  • Independently design and perform experiments, evaluate or troubleshoot prototypes and instrument performance issues.
  • Maintain and improve existing laboratory automation systems.
  • Ad-hoc instrument troubleshooting, error recovery or repairs.

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s in engineering, computer science, biotechnology, physics or a related field, and 5 years of hands on related experience; or equivalent combination of both.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or C#.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and successfully work across multiple disciplines such as engineering, software and assay development teams.
  • Team-oriented and detailed individual with the proven ability to think innovatively toward solving problems effectively and efficiently.
  • Highly self-motivated, eager to take on a wide variety of tasks and grow with evolving technology.

The base salary range for this full-time position is $140,000 - $170,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The ranges displayed on each job posting reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries but are subject to change if the leveling of the role is adjusted.
