Job Description

The Alaka’ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) has a need for a Training Specialistto support a potential customer, located out of Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Support is out of Oahu, Hawaii. 


Training Management Services;

  • Responsible for planning, tracking, and communicating individual training completion at USPACFLT HQ.
  • Assist the Training Officer with the developing, maintaining, and implementing of training plans. 
  • Consult with Directorates and users to identify and specify requirements; develop overall training requirements, define scope and objectives, and ensure the command's compliance with all Navy and DoD regulations.
  • Provide regularly scheduled training opportunities for staff to include both mandatory training as well as ad-hoc training.
  • Provide new staff members (Military, Civilian, and Contractors) with USPACFLT HQ Training overview brief and associated programs such as TWMS, FLTMPS, DCPDCS, etc. Average approximately 30 new members per month.
  • Conduct a 10-minute indoctrination program overview during USPACFLT HQ Indoc to approximately 30 new staff members once per month.
  • Provide one-on-one desk-side training to GS-15/O6 and above-level personnel upon request.
  • Typically, no more than 2 requests per month, lasting no more than 30 minutes in length.
  • Maintain and update the Training Dashboard located on HIP SharePoint
  • Track training requirements and completion for all USPACFLT HQ staff. 
  • Monthly training reports provided that include known requirements and completion level by Directorate, program, and training required to keep Directorates appraised of training execution status. 
  • Maintain training database and manage training requirements in TWMS, FLTMPS, and/or other authoritative systems.
  • Enter training completion as required in TWMS and/or FLTMPS.
  • Track Individual Training Development budget and execution and Coordinate with Fleet Training Development Officer on approving training. 
  • Provide monthly report to Training Officer on budget control, execution and balance.
  • Oversee the execution of the command Planning Board for Training (PB4T) to include setting up meetings, collecting inputs, and providing meeting minutes. 
  • Develop training plan through coordination with Directorates and PB4T.  This task is performed quarterly.


  • Must have a minimum of five years of experience working with training personnel, travel, and/or budget management.


  • Must be a U.S. citizen. 
  • Must have a U.S. Secret Clearance.
