Law degree from an approved accredited law school.
Member of the Florida Bar in good standing and authorized to practice law in the state of Florida.
Admitted or eligible to become a member of the Bar for the Federal District Court, Northern District of Florida, and for the Circuit Court of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit.
Minimum of five (5) years successful legal experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of Florida and federal laws and regulations pertaining to public education.
Knowledge of collective bargaining and laws and regulations pertaining to public sector employment.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Ability to work with diverse groups and individuals.
Knowledge of administrative procedures.
JOB GOAL: To provide effective counsel to the Superintendent and the staff on legal issues affecting the District.
