Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Analytical Chemist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in a variety of analytical techniques and possess a strong background in understanding environmental regulations and compliance requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize various analytical techniques to measure and identify pollutants in air, water, soil, and other environmental samples
- Perform chemical analysis using techniques such as Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS), Flow Injections Analysis Systems, and Gas Chromatography (GC)
- Utilize wet chemistry methods for sample preparation and analysis
- Maintain accurate records of all tests and experiments conducted
- Develop, review and implement analytical methods to detect trace level contaminants
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and problem-solving
- Operate, calibrate and maintain analytical instrumentation
- Utilize Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) for data management
- Prepare solutions, standards, reagents, for various analytical methods
Skills:
- Proficiency in Gas Chromatography, Spectrophotometry, and Wet Chemistry
- Strong background in scientific methodologies
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Attention to detail and strong problem solving skills
- Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS)
- Knowledge of EPA methods/protocols and various approved analytical methodology
