Salary: Upto $75,000

This Position is responsible for managing Alumni Clients and facilitate activities and wellness events to support our alumni programming, helping clients achieve lasting recovery.
Currently hiring for Assistant Community Outreach Specialists for the Long Beach area. This Position involves Local Travel and Outreach.

Full-Time / On-site POSITION: M - F Days / Some evenings & weekends

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Effectively establish, develop, build and maintain new relationships with alumni and partners to identify clients in need of treatment.
  • Facilitate activities and wellness events to support our alumni programming, helping clients achieve lasting recovery.
  • Develop and promote Akua's Extended Care Program, our on-site alumni aftercare offering to support former clients at conferences, community meetings, seminars, events, and maintain a positive relationship within the community and public.
  • Educate the public and community about Akua's clinical programs and culture.
  • Possess knowledge of clinical modalities, delivery of treatment, interventions and program functions.
  • Design, implement and manage strategies for alumni and community market penetration.
  • Work collaboratively with the clinical, admissions, and marketing teams.
  • Strategic travel/call completion to maintain relationships with current and new alumni and community partners.
  • Achieve all internal goals to maximize awareness of Akua.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Education: Bachelor's or equivalent degree (Required)
  • Minimum of 1 year program coordination Experience (Required)
  • Valid Driver License - Driving and/or local travel is an essential requirement of the position, as is a clean driving record (Required)
  • Proof of COVID19 Vaccination (Required)
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills is required, must be organized and reliable.
