Senior Mechanical Fueling Engineer-Aviation & FederalA successful candidate would be experienced in design and construction in one or more of the following industries: Commercial or Military Fuel Systems, Oil & Gas, Water/Wastewater, or Industrial Systems.Experience in the following areas of project design would be of high value:
- Airport fuel receipt, storage and distribution facilities
- Jet fuel hydrant distribution systems
- Pipeline and transport truck fuel receipt systems
- Jet fuel storage tanks
- Distribution pumping systems – hydrants and refueler truck loading
- Oil water separation systems
- Single and double-wall fuel piping
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards including ATA 103, API 610, 650, 653, ASME B31.3 and B31.4, NFPA 30 and NFPA 11
- Piping system hydraulic modeling
- Piping system stress analysis
- Bachelor's degree required in mechanical engineering from an accredited program.
- Minimum 8 years related experience.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) is required with experience working for other consulting firms and/or construction contractors.
- Capable of executing complex assignments requiring the use of advanced techniques, resulting in the development of new or improved processes, equipment and/or technological methods.
- May develop and evaluate plans for major projects.
- May coordinate departmental or divisional project studies, reports or project design assignments.
- Provide leadership, guidance and instruction to less experienced staff members.
- Regularly meets and corresponds with clients or outside personnel in addition to some marketing responsibilities.
- Candidate should be capable of assisting clients with planning facility improvements for mechanical aspects of projects. Must also possess the ability to determine project scope, schedule, and budget.
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- This position requires an individual capable of applying intensive and diversified knowledge of principles and practices to broad areas of assignments.
