Job Description Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Global Supply Planner to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing the communication and activities associated with the supply planning of finished goods and sub-level components for our reagents and instrument business. You would be responsible to execute supply planning, analysis, and reporting activities in accordance with approved standards and in compliance with cost reduction company goals for assigned value streams. Functional responsibility includes all aspects of planning, scheduling, and metric reporting. The ideal candidate will be an innovative thinker with relevant experience as a planner and experience presenting the supply plan during the monthly S&OP meeting.

Duties and Responsibilities

Supply Planning

• Collaborate with sales and demand forecasting teams to help improve the predictability for product demand and fluctuations
• Analyzes demand plan, customer orders, MPS/MRP and existing inventory levels to communicate supply health during monthly S&OP meetings
• Maintenance of data in ERP system as related to item master and planning data
• Continually monitor the sales and operations plan and customer backlog; actively manage the dates of the backlog and assure availability of materials and manufacturing resources Production Scheduling
• Organize, plans, and manages production schedules according to demand, quality standards, and capacity constraints to ensure a comprehensive master production schedule aligned to meet customer demand and inventory targets
• Continually analyze customer demand and tactically request product manufacturing advances against master schedule to address potential supply gaps
• Communicate production plans to all levels of the organization in monthly S&OP meeting
• Provides commitment dates to customer service based on schedules and capacity utilization
• Prepare analysis and reports regarding production status, forecasts, and delivery health to leadership

Inventory Management

• Monitor inventory levels, identify excess and shortages, and implement solutions to optimize stock levels while reducing carrying costs
• Understand overall Supply Chain constraints and coordinate activities to ensure all resources are exercised and escalated for solution if any supply gaps exist
• collaborate with cross-functional teams including Commercial Operations, Finance, Sales, and Product Management to align supply chain activities with business goals and objectives to ensure optimal and cost-effective inventory levels
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Skills

• Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, or 5 years Supply Planning in the biotech/pharma space
• 3-5 years related supply planning experience or Demand management experience
• Demonstrated success overseeing the execution of supply planning across supply chain teams
• Experience in the biotech industry is strongly preferred
• ERP expertise; NetSuite a strong plus
• High attention to detail is a critical skill for the position
• Effective and innovative problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated success working cross-functionally as a planner
• Demonstrated success holding internal teams accountable and effectively prioritizing timelines with support teams
• Strong Excel skills with ability to process and manage large data including pivot tables. Effective verbal, written and presentation communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate the business’s demand side goals that influence desired results
• Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain credibility, trust, and positive relationships

The hiring range for this position is $125,000 - $175,000 per year, which may factor in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. Our full-time regular positions also include an annual performance-based bonus (or a sales incentive plan) and long-term incentive units (equity) provided as part of our compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
