Akkodis is seeking a Materials Planner II Level 2 for a contract position with a client located in Erie, PA. Ideally looking for a candidate who has experience in coordinating and expediting the flow of materials (from suppliers and also within departments) according to production schedules. Planning and scheduling material/production needs.

Pay Range: $32 - $35/hour; (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. )

Materials Planner II Job Summary:

Responsibilities:

• Manage master planning, material processes, and systems, and prepare and update production schedules and purchasing needs.
• Responsible for managing the shipping/receiving department.
• Oversight of fabrication stacker material needs. Ensure operational alignment with production plan and KPIs.
• Optimize inventory and process improvements.
• Expected to resolve problems through the application of acquired expertise guided by precedent. Works together with people from the business unit.
• Contacts are under guidance and/or geared towards specifying activities, planning activities, and giving explanations on technical issues.
• Communicates with direct team and supervisor.
• Presents internal teams on metrics, project status, and research.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Manufacturing).

Characteristics:

• Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
