Founded in 1941 the James H. Cross is a Nationally recognized provider of Industrial Tooling, Integrated Supply, Metrology, Automation, Regrinding, Fixturing, ISO/IEC 17025 Calibration and Engineered Solutions. We are looking for new additions to our Team.

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Calibration Technician to join our team. As a Calibration Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and precision of various measurement instruments and equipment. This is a vital role in maintaining the quality and reliability of our customers' products.

Responsibilities include:

• Review customer requirements
• Prepare/clean and visually inspect customer gages
• Perform calibration of various gages such calipers, micrometers, torque wrenches, thread plugs, etc. according to applicable specifications, procedures, and work orders
• Maintain calibration and inspection gages and equipment
• Prepare necessary documentation and certification, ensuring documentation conforms to accreditation requirements
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Receive in gages within database
• Pull gages that are due for calibration
• Return gages to corresponding cabinets when calibration is complete
• Travel to customer site for field calibrations
• Adhere to customer site rules/regulations
• Performs additional duties requested by Lead Tech and/or Quality Director

Skills Required:

• Excellent math skills
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Good communication skills and positive attitude
• Basic knowledge of measuring tools
• Good time management skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to follow work instructions/Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Ability to work without and/or minimal direct supervision

Required Qualifications:

· High School Diploma or equivalent

· Valid Driver’s License

· Some overnight travel is required

Preferred Qualifications:

· Calibration experience

· Relevant experience in dimensional metrology inspection, machining, or similar.

· Experience with quality system (ISO/IEC 17025 or similar)

· IndySoft experience
