AKKA Technologies is Hiring an Electrical / Mechanical Assembly Technician Near Detroit, MI

Job Description:

Multi-skilled technicians are individuals that can electrically/mechanically install new systems along with repairing or modifying existing systems.
When the technicians are provided documentation, they will be able complete the following tasks:
- Layout floors
- Install robots/risers
- Assemble fencing
- Assemble cable tray
- Assemble fixtures & EOAT tooling (bolting details and clamps together, mounting armor blocks/manifolds,
- Run hoses/proxy wiring), install system cabling, (grounding, 24v, 120v, 480v, communication), troubleshoot electrical/mechanical/pneumatic issues (cylinders/valves)
- Assemble control panels (MCPs/PDPs and 508a certification), testing documentation (Ethernet/Profinet, megger), redline documentation
- Assemble specific types of system air/water headers.
Determine needed repair activity and perform the repair.
Perform standard part replacement.
Complete actions by following the action SMP.
May be required to lead small groups of other technicians.
Perform quality and solve electrical diagnostics within the vehicle.
Quality sense and willingness to fix anything wrong with the vehicle.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

High School Diploma/GED Required.
Valid US Driver’s License Required.
Associates Degree in Automotive Repair, Mechantronics, Maintenance preferred.
Knowledge of how vehicle components work and interact Required.
Must be able to read blueprint and schematics
ASE Certification preferred.
At least 5 years general repair experience required OR 3 years of electrical repair required
Must be able to stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Dealership experience a plus.
