Job Description: Medical Support Assistant (MSA)
Location: Catawba Service Unit
Job Summary: The Medical Support Assistant (MSA) will provide comprehensive services to patients at the Catawba Service Unit. The MSA will manage patient documents, assist with scheduling and registration, and support various administrative functions.
Key Responsibilities:
Scan and upload all patient documents into the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
Manage release-of-information requests.
Answer phones, take messages, and transfer calls as needed.
Provide coverage for patient registration and assist patients with scheduling appointments.
Assist Purchased and Referred Care technicians with sending and receiving medical documentation from providers.
Support the Supervisory Health Systems Specialist with related duties.
Supervision:
Day-to-Day Supervision: Provided by the Catawba Service Unit Supervisory Health Systems Specialist.
Administrative Contractual Oversight: Provided by the Catawba Service Unit Chief Executive Officer.
