If you feel stuck and are looking for a more flexible and strategic growth opportunity this may be the position for you. This North Florida based architect/engineering consulting firm is looking for the following experienced talent:

Mechanical Designer

Designer needed to prepare basic plumbing and fire protection design and provide Revit/AutoCAD drafting support for the Mechanical Engineering department.

The successful candidate will have 4 years of relevant experience in mechanical and piping design, preferably in a consulting environment facilities, government institutions or commercial construction, proficient in AutoCAD and working knowledge of Revit BIM. Proficient in use of HVAC load calculation program(s). Additional desired skills include experience in use/application of building codes and published design standards and amiliarity with various manufacturers’ product lines. Overall technical competence and a strong attention to detail and outcomes are critical.

You will be a respected contributor to a multidisciplinary team including engineers, architects and drafters, interfacing with other disciplines, vendors, and clients. On occasion you will conduct field visits to client facilities to collect site data, support construction, commissioning, and start-up, and foster and maintain strong productive relationships. This is a key role working together with mechanical engineers for the concept and creation of mechanical designs that meet the technical, project cost, and schedule criteria of projects.

Associate Degree in engineering technology or related discipline is desired; position requires minimum two years’ work experience or commensurate years’ technical drafting/design education. Healthcare facilities design experience required (VA Healthcare a plus.) All interested applicants with relevant mechanical engineering background should apply for consideration.
