For over 19 years, AKASPORT has been providing year-round, multi-sport summer camps and after school programs for kids of all ages throughout Minnesota. AKASPORT encourages kids of all abilities to live an active lifestyle by providing sports and fitness programs for youth, families, schools and communities.

• Responsibilities:
• - Summer camp coach (specifically looking for positions for this summer)
• - Provide coaching and instruction in various sports and activities, such as soccer, basketball, football, and baseball- Ensure the safety of all participants by enforcing rules and regulations- Teach proper techniques and strategies to enhance athletes' abilities- Motivate and inspire athletes to reach their full potential- Monitor and evaluate the progress of athletes and provide feedback for improvement- Collaborate with other coaches and staff members to coordinate practices, games, and tournaments- Maintain a positive and supportive environment for athletes
• Requirements:
• - Enjoys playing & coaching sports
• - 18 years of age or older
• - Follow AKASPORT multi-sport curriculum (50% technical intstruction/50% small sided game play).
• - Works well and communicates with Parents and Kids alike.

- Must complete a background check.
- Previous experience in coaching or teaching sports activities
- Lifeguard certification is preferred for coaching swimming activities
- Knowledge of various sports rules, techniques, and strategies
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with athletes, parents, and staff members
- Ability to manage behavior and maintain discipline during practices and games
- Patience, enthusiasm, and a passion for working with children and athletes
- Physical fitness and the ability to demonstrate proper techniques
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
