Job purpose An Assembly Operator is responsible for assembling new and/or replacement parts by operating intermediate machines and equipment to assemble complete units or complex subassemblies from blueprints. This position is a Part time role, averaging 16 hours per week, Saturdays and Sundays. Key responsibilities Independent monitoring and operation of the production equipment, within a clean and climate-controlled work environment Checking the equipment for proper functioning and reporting deviations or quality defects Ensuring compliance with production parameters Maintenance and cleaning of equipment, work area and facility based on 5s standards General support within the production processes Assembly may require the use of simple hand tools with/without power or special assembly tools Load/unload machines using proper handling equipment Operate equipment to highest production and quality standards Maintain all fluid levels of equipment and report malfunctions and safety issues to supervisor or maintenance as soon as possible Maintain quality standards by following proper inspection procedures and reporting issues to Team Leads and Supervisors Understand and adhere to current quality and control policies Perform other duties as assigned What we’re looking for High School diploma or equivalent required Ability to work every Saturday and Sunday Experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive Detail oriented and consistent Must be able to work on a team Work independently, accurately, and precisely Interest in electrical engineering processes General experience in production processes Manual Assembly, hands on mechanical skills Good interpersonal and communication skills Must be able to follow instructions, safety rules and regulations Basic shop math required (decimals, addition, subtraction, fractions) Ability to learn how to read basic blueprints What we believe Inclusion-We value diversity in people, ideas, and experiences.
