Are you an experienced, patient-centered Dental Assistant looking for a rewarding opportunity? Look no further! Jupiter Dentistry is a growing and thriving private dental practice that is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team.
Position Details :
- Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary equipment is ready
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures by handing them instruments, suctioning, and providing support as needed
- Take and record patients' vital signs, medical history, and dental charting
- Perform dental receptionist duties such as scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and managing patient records
- Educate patients on dental treatments, proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care instructions
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols to maintain a safe and clean environment
- Assist with laboratory tasks such as pouring models and fabricating temporary crowns
- Lab case management
Skills :
- Proficiency in dental practice management systems such as Dentrix
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to dentistry
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members
- Ability to take accurate vital signs and record detailed medical history
- Knowledge of dental anatomy and terminology to assist the dentist during procedures
- Understanding of infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff
