In this role, you would be working directly with students to support them with the college application process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coach high school students through the entire college application process, including identifying a list of colleges, essay drafting and editing, and completing all parts of the college application
- Manage deadlines and keep students on track for timely submission of applications
- Lead workshops on different aspects of the college application process
- Meet with students and parents regularly to discuss progress on college applications
- Maintain open lines of communication with parents throughout the college application process
- Collaborate with other counselors to review students' applications and make recommendations
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience helping students with their applications
- Evening and weekend availability
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate to both high school students and their parents
- Must live in California, Montana, or Texas
- At least one year of experience working as an admissions counselor or application reader at a selective college preferred
