Description

The associate is responsible for preparing, organizing, distributing and filing work orders and related project documents and providing clerical support to the Department team. The support provided by the associate allows the Department team to focus on meeting project deadlines and achieving total customer satisfaction. Reports to the Plant Manager.

Responsibilities:

· Ship and receive outgoing and incoming packaged from UPS, fedex and LTL carriers

· Prepare items for shipment including palletizing shipments, tagging and properly labeling shipments

· Prepare shipping documents as required

· Material handling of parts and components that will be used for jobs and also prepared for shipment

· House cleaning (incoming cleaning of product and work area)

· Assist walk-in counter customers with pickups and drop offs, will include collecting payments

· Quality control of shipping and receiving product

· Picking orders for shipment

· Maintaining inventory, including stocking and creating bin locations

· Clean and safely prep and paint hydraulic components (utilizing paint booth and rattle cans), respirator fit test is required 

· Perform clerical tasks including but not limited to data entry, filing, maintaining and storing records and copying, scanning, faxing and distributing documents.

· Strong customer service skills

· Contribute in being a team player and share new ideas to management 

· Learn other duties and cross training in other areas of the organization 

· Other related duties as assigned

Requirements

· High school diploma or Graduate Equivalency Diploma (GED) required. Some secondary education or degree is a plus. 

· Must be able to safely operate a fork lift, training will be provided

· Must be able to safely use power tools including but not limited to power tools (i.e. saws and cordless drills)

· Must be able to interpret instructions from multiple co-workers

· Must be able to use an overhead crane safely

· Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Internet Explorer and Outlook

· The ideal candidate must have precise detail orientation and focus

· Strong communication, organization and time management skills

· Familiarity with machine parts is a plus

· Experience working in a manufacturing office environment is a plus
