Description

The Mechanical Assembler will utilize extruded aluminum materials in structural framing assembly projects such as machine guards, machine bases, ergonomic workstations, solar racking and many other applications. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under general supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Reports to Shop Foreman.

Responsibilities:

• Assembles major structures and subassemblies
• Entails sawing, tapping, drilling and other mechanical tasks using necessary tools and equipment to complete assembly project
• Verify accuracy and quality in accordance with established control procedures
• Performs other tasks as needed, to complete an assembly project

Requirements

• Mechanical aptitude and precise attention to detail are required.
• Experience assembling aluminum framing structures, sawing, tapping and drilling is preferred.
• Assist with equipment installations, which may require daily travel
• Must observe all safety rules and regulations
