POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for overseeing the consolidation of a global organization including maintaining the consolidation system and the completeness and accuracy of reporting from multiple entities and countries. 

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

The specific minimum competencies needed to perform the essential duties of the job include knowledge, skills, abilities, level of education, and experience necessary for successful performance. These competencies are generally demonstrated through specific service, education, or training.

Knowledge: 

Acquired through education, certifications, training, experience.

Skills & Abilities: 

Leadership skills, time management skills, good oral and written communication skills, accounting proficiency, and proficiency in Microsoft is required, including spreadsheet/Excel formulas. Experience with consolidation of multi-entity organization required. Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain accurate records are required. 

Level of Experience: 

The ideal candidate will have accounting experience of 5 years, including consolidation of a multi-entity organization. 

Level of Education: 

Bachelor’s degree in accounting required. CPA preferred. 

Travel: 

Potential for 1-3 trips per year. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES

The core tasks, duties, and responsibilities that must be performed on the job.

  • Responsible for monthly consolidation of international entities into consolidated financial statements.
  • Lead implementation of selected consolidation tool and assist in setup of appropriate consolidation, including foreign exchange considerations.
  • Develop required controls and processes to ensure audit compliant consolidation process.
  • Oversees administration and maintenance of consolidation tool including troubleshooting any issues.
  • Maintain Chart of Accounts from multiple ERP systems and mapping in consolidation tool.
  • Introduce efficiencies into consolidation process as entities are added.
  • Coordinate reporting at month-end from all entities that meet control and audit requirements.
  • Review reporting at month-end from all entities including foreign exchange impact.
  • Review and oversee intercompany reconciliations and lead investigations of differences.
  • Review month-end activities including key areas of risk and material reserves.
  • Support acquisition and integration activities, including developing integrating and optimizing the consolidation process.
  • Create and review consolidated financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow) and assist with month-end commentary.
  • Build and review reports in consolidation tool as required by management.
  • Lead updates to reporting for new accounting standards applicable to the organization.
  • Assist in technical accounting reviews and implementation of new accounting standards.
  • Assist with year-end audit and preparation of GAAP financial statements.
  • Implement account reconciliation and closing cockpit tool with Assistant Controller.
  • Potentially oversee accountant and provide coaching and development.
  • Complete other projects and assignments as requested.
