Job Description:
As a temporary Diesel Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting with the purchasing of used motor coaches. Leveraging your extensive knowledge of motor coach diesel engines, you will provide valuable insights and guidance on the condition and viability of potential acquisitions. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting thorough inspections of diesel engines in used motor coaches to assess their condition, performance, and potential maintenance needs.
- Identifying any existing or potential issues with diesel engines and providing recommendations on necessary repairs or improvements.
- Collaborating with the purchasing team to evaluate the overall value and feasibility of acquiring specific motor coaches based on engine condition and other technical considerations.
- Documenting findings and recommendations in detailed reports to support decision-making processes.
- Holding a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) to facilitate test driving of vehicles if needed.
- Availability to travel to various states if needed to inspect and acquire vehicles as required.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Diesel Technician, preferably with a focus on motor coach diesel engines.
- Extensive knowledge of diesel engine systems, components, and diagnostic techniques.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess the condition and performance of diesel engines accurately.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to accuracy and thoroughness in inspections and evaluations.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Hold a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) for test driving purposes.
