Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Social Value Development Manager Strategy and Transformation team based in Herndon, VA.

The Social Value Development Manager supports the integration of sustainability across the interconnected pillars of: Planet, People and Prosperity. The role specifically focuses on social impact and sustainability culture change and engagement, encompassing all Airbus businesses in the USA.

Your challenges:
  • Mapping the needs of the local communities and aligning this leadership and the Employee Resource Groups
  • Showing how we are reducing the following important environmental impacts:
  • Energy consumption
  • Water consumption
  • CO2 emissions
  • Waste
  • Volatile organic components
  • Handling sponsorships and donations being sure to make the most of our resources while aligning with leadership on what changes might need to occur
  • Developing aware of Airbus policies
  • Assist site leadership on how we can improve donations
  • Foster Teamwork
Your boarding pass:
  • Required: 6 years of experience in the corporate sustainability, including social area, non profit support, corporate citizenship
  • Preferred: 2 years of exposure to Aerospace and Defense Industry and understanding of the Aerospace value chain, past experience within Airbus Group preferred.
  • Project Management Certification is desirable
  • Sustainability management related Certification is desirable
  • The successful candidate will be a self-motivated team player with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to making a positive impact on the world
  • We are searching for someone who is highly organized and able to develop innovative approaches for corporate social responsibility, corporate citizenship initiatives
  • The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record in developing and implementing corporate social responsibility strategies and initiative

Salary range based on the required profile: $97,000.00 - $110,000.00/year (including a variable part based on your performance). Information provided as an indication.
