Air Liquide USA LLC is Hiring an Operations Controller Near Houston, TX
The Global Markets & Technologies (GM&T) World Business Unit delivers technological solutions (molecules, equipment and services) to support the new markets of energy transition, maritime logistics and scientific exploration, in order to accelerate Air Liquide sustainable growth. To support the energy transition, GM&T brings environmentally friendly solutions to the clean energy market with hydrogen energy and Bio-Natural Gas for vehicles, refrigerated transport using nitrogen, but also the treatment and injection of Biogas into the energy grid as a local power source.In the North American Market, Air Liquide Helium America Inc. (ALHAI) is responsible for helium upstream operations including all affiliates from Canada to Argentina. ALHAI works closely with an extensive array of sources and vendors to deliver helium to Group affiliates via a large fleet of ALHAI owned cryogenic ISO containers. ALHAI has 10 full time employees including a President, Controller, Sourcing Manager, Technical Manager, a Supply Chain Manager who has 3 direct reports who support scheduling and an Operations Controllers Analyst.

- Perform and control closing on monthly basis including budgeting and yearly audit schedules
- Preparation of monthly Rolling Forecasts and reports for ALHAI: Sales, Costs, Margin, GENEX & Order Intake,
- Ongoing modeling and analysis of operating results,
- Drive performance improvements in the organization by performing analysis and proposing continuous improvements and optimal ways forward to management,
- Provide near "real time" analysis of events, issues and opportunities to enable management and manufacturing to make informed decisions,
- Inventory rightsizing cooperation with supply chain, vendors, and affiliates,
- Control costs on capital projects and track operational efficiency,
- Initiate / participate in continuous process improvement initiatives within the function. Improvement of monitoring tools and reports, dashboard and databases.
- Assisting Global Helium, and or Maritime Global CFO with any other ad hoc projects / assignments
- Ensure timely collection from the customers who are all affiliates of the Group
- Ensure proper tracking and invoicing of Helium sales and Helium costs
- Create financial management reports as necessary
- BS in Finance / Accounting and/or Engineering appropriate operational experience
- 5 year experience in finance roles with increasing responsibilities
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Financial & Accounting acumen
- Experience in using Oracle finance ERP
- Ability to understand and model business scenarios and outcomes into financial models to enable informed decision-making
- Strong written, oral and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
- Autonomous with management skills
- Experience with Power BI
