Job Description
Air General is seeking an experienced full-time Supervisor for its Denver International Airport (DEN) operation. Required skills include: customer service, air cargo experience, preferably both international and domestic, and proven leadership skills. Must be able to work in the cargo operation on behalf of the airlines that we are contracted with; and work with the station manager to oversee the day-to-day operational needs, leading employees to achieve successful performance. Job Responsibilities include:
- Oversee the operation, motivate and direct the staff as required.
- Assist the manager to ensure all customer targets are achieved or exceeded.
- Prepare statistics and reports, as required by customer and managers, and distribute to all relevant parties. Maintain logs, files, and statistics as required.
- Organize, coordinate, and assist with all contract handling services
- .Deliver daily briefings and ensure all staff have all needed information.
- Keep track of ULD stock, inventory reports, and send appropriate messages as required.
- Meet regularly with the manager to establish constant feedback and action plan for any improvements in handling service.
- Liaise closely with top account coordinators.
- Ensure all customers are provided with information concerning the status of their shipments.
- Evaluate all office and warehouse related performance.
- Implement and oversee directives and procedures to enhance service levels for the customer.
- Ensure all procedures are followed.
- Review and handle all messages requiring immediate responses or special handling. Liaise with manager as required.
- Ensure all safety standards are adhered to and all security procedures are complied with.
- Review staff performance and provide OJT as necessary.
- Ensure that handling services do not adversely affect the safe and punctual operation of the customers' flight services.
- Survey all work and office areas for neat, clean, and orderly conditions.
- Perform any other duties as directed by the managers.
Requirements:
- College degree preferred or equivalent industry experience.
- 2 years of continuous warehouse or office experience.
- Leadership experience
- PC proficiency (MS Office applications).
- Must be able to work weekends
- Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings, background checks, and airport/government security background checks
- Must be able to pass a drug test
- Must possess a valid Drivers License
- Must be able to obtain valid airport I.D. badge.
- Must be able to lift 70 pounds
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must possess the ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language
- Must be available to work varied shifts, including nights, and occasionally on weekends, and holidays
