SUMMARY OF POSITION :

The Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) is seeking an energetic, resourceful and forward thinking Education and Training Program Specialist to play a key role in the successful implementation of ACCA's educational programs serving the HVACR contractor industry.

Primary areas of responsibility include program planning support and implementation, faculty management, and managing program development.

The ideal candidate will be able to use various sources and methods to develop new and exciting content, and to solve problems and create solutions in an innovative way.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Implement and support all aspects of ACCA technical and business educational programs, including training, webinars, online learning, podcasts, and grant-funded programs.
  • Oversee the training calendar and allocate resources accordingly, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of training programs.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, instructional designers, external vendors, content developers, staff, and volunteers to complete projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to stay informed about new products and updates, translating complex technical product knowledge into simple, effective training materials.
  • Review and monitor training content, ensuring materials are up-to-date, accurate, and engaging.
  • Effectively manage timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful delivery.
  • Support the team in collecting feedback from participants and stakeholders to inform program enhancements.
  • Assume day-to-day risk mitigation and relationship management for assigned projects, escalating problems to the VP when appropriate.

In-Person & Virtual Programs

Serve as a key training / learning operations team member responsible for the day-to-day aspects of learner inquiries and training needs.

Handle requests that come in via the website, chat, email and call center.

  • Provide administrative support for financial transactions related to education product subscriptions and activity purchases.
  • Work with members, state associations, utilities, and other organizations on scheduling training.
  • Oversee the logistics of training programs, including reserving training rooms, coordinating with trainers, and coordinating materials needed for the programs.
  • Attend / run Zoom classes - admit attendees and help field any questions.
  • Create class forums for each class and enter attendees into forums.
  • Post recordings to the website.
  • Create and send out individual class certificates when needed.
  • Serve as program liaison with participants by communicating assignments, schedule changes, and other information.

LMS / On-Demand Programs

  • Answer inquiries about On-Demand / LMS online courses.
  • Update digital badges and certificates when needed
  • Creation and execution of member benefit webinars
  • Creates, maintain, update and distributes resources (e.g., videos, toolkits, guides) to aid learners in achieving successful educational outcomes.

navigating online systems and other supporting materials / media (audio, video, toolkit, etc.) as requested.

Collaborates with subject matter experts (as applicable) to determine the appropriate delivery strategies for target audiences.

Provides guidance for content creation.

Other / Administrative

  • Maintaining CEU's / CE's for new, renewals and finding other opportunities.
  • Maintains and distributes the industry calendar, and collaborates with the communications team to ensure the website is updated with upcoming and future events.
  • Works closely with the communications team to develop strategies and plans for promoting educational and professional development offerings throughout the year to reach participation and revenue targets.
  • Stay current on latest research and use strong external networks to benchmark key trends and best practices;
  • As needed, performs onsite responsibilities during conferences and other educational programs.
  • Manage multiple tasks for numerous deliverables by transitioning simply and easily from one project to the next.
  • Explore alternative methods / mediums of providing training to the field.
  • Travel expectation 10%

QUALIFICATIONS :

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills

  • 3 years of professional experience in an association role preferred; experience in training and education coordination within the trades, wholesaler, or distributor is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated success in coordinating webinars, events, and training.
  • Customer Service and Communication : Excellent written / verbal / proofing skills.
  • Research, Project Management, and Organization : proficient in basic research, databases (Microsoft Dynamics and Microsoft Office), Zoom, LMS, and project management tools (ex. Asana).
  • Highly organized with the ability to learn quickly, prioritize, and manage multiple projects with high attention to detail.
  • Energetic, forward-thinking, and creative individual.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, determine priorities, and produce results.
  • Collaboration and Problem-Solving : works well independently and as part of a team, is a self-initiator, versatile, and motivated.

Strong desire to continue to learn and develop new and exciting content.
